Quienes Somos?

“Cooking is an art, the art of each society, a modest art that is part of the culture of the people”

 Nitza Villapol.

Cuban cuisine is much more than “Ropa Vieja” or “Cuban sandwich”, it is a mixture of diverse culinary cultures, with seasoning and adorned with musical notes. Over six years ago, when we arrived in Washington DC, we discovered that the aroma of “Mojo Criollo” and “Cuban Coffee” were scarce in this city. “Mi Cuba Café” was born to place on the palate of its audience, the tastiness, joy, art and music of traditional Cuban food.

“Mi Cuba Café” welcomes you and hopes, once you have experienced the diversity of aromas and flavors that our cuisine offers, you will return again and again.

Just read a fantastic story about your staff hailing a cab for a visually impaired customer that could not do so for themselves and also letting them remain in the restaurant to keep warm after you had already locked up for the night. I live 500+ miles away, but hearing this story speaks volumes in regard to the type of restaurant that you have. The next time I’m in DC, I will 100% stop by and give you my service.
